Good eye dropper technique

Eye drops can be tricky to administer, however it is essential to use your eye drops as your clinician has instructed to help treat your condition as effectively as possible.15

This simple, 3-step process will help you to administer your treatment easily and with confidence.

Before applying your eyedrops, please ensure that you wash your hands thoroughly and check the expiry date on the bottle.

Preparing your bottle for ongoing use

  • To prepare your bottle for use remove the cap and invert the bottle with the tip pointing downwards.
  • Hold the bottle as illustrated and press firmly on the pump (thumb notch) and release. Repeat the process several times until the first drop is released. The bottle is now ready for use.

Hold the bottle upside-down and by pressing the pump, instil the required number of drops.

Replace the cap.
